WOW !!! What an incredible endorsement from a well-respected Real Estate expert. I appreciated her comment regarding what has changed about Staging that it is “no longer optional”.

I am concerned about ‘painting out’ the fireplace. It is an architectural feature of the home and should be showcased. If it is ‘painted’ it does need to be a great job not an okay job. First impression of a sloppy paint job is what else have they done ‘half way?’

I agree with GraceAnn that almost always a fireplace should be made the focal point of a room. I did not see the show with the before photos, however, so maybe there was some problem with the fireplace that made Nate decide not to highlight it? Wish this clip had the “before” photos!

Barbara Corcoran says it like it is. When preparing our property’s for the market we need to imagine what the potential buyer is thinking and stop making excuses about the current condition of our homes. Listen to the professionals when it comes to selling your home. By doing the work up front you’ll save precious time money and peace of mind.
    Happy Selling!
