NY Post: Barbara Corcoran’s Persuasive Pitch

Barbara Corcoran may have persuaded ABC to renew “Shark Tank”

Barbara Corcoran, the real-estate guru, has been in LA to start taping the second season of ABC’s “Shark Tank,” where she’s a panelist to find young entrepreneurs. Creator Mark Burnett originally had somebody else lined up for the first season, but a very convincing letter from Corcoran changed his mind. Then, to campaign for the show’s renewal, she filed a 340-page pitch pointing out why it should come back. Network bosses announced in August if would have a new season of eight episodes. Corcoran’s rep said, “Wordy causes have really paid off.”

I love Barbara and I love “Shark Tank.” It was a show with brains and I learned and got ideas from it. Barbara is real and she is also kind and nice.

I have seen a few episodes of Shark Tank now, and on ALL of them Barbara, you are the FIRST person to opt out of every deal. I’ve never seen you invest! We are never surprised to hear you pipe up and say “I’m out”. Would probably fall out of my seat if I heard you wanted to make a deal. Have I just missed the episodes you have made deals??
