Q&A

"I recently bought a three-bedroom home and one of the bedrooms is extremely small, about 7×9 ½. I’m thinking of knocking down the wall and making the master bedroom a much larger room. Will going from three bedrooms to two lower the price of my home when I want to re-sell?"

Two bedrooms always sell for less than three bedrooms, but that doesn’t mean you shouldn’t break down the wall and enjoy living and sleeping in a luxurious bedroom now. Then when it comes time to sell, probably many years from now, you can throw a sheetrock wall back up, paint it a pretty color, and list your home as a beautiful three bedroom.
